So, we decided this year to go the mountains to pick out our Christmas tree....sounds fun right?! Well, little did I know that you can't just go up to the mountain to get a tree, you have to drive up as high as you can get then hike in to find something other than a pine tree. Who wants a pine tree as a Christmas tree!? Definetly not me. Anyway, we did not go up for enough, nor did we hike high enough, but we sure as heck got a Christmas tree. We found the only fir tree that was under 20 feet, cut it down about 5 feet off of the ground and took home the top. It was the ugliest, most scrawny, shapless tree I've ever seen.....but you better believe it's the most cherished tree this season! Even though it is not the beautifully manicured, full bodied, plump little tree I usually decide on, I FOUND it myself. It's the best tree ever and we had a blast finding it. Here are few pics. of the "kids" playing in the snow. I'm pretty sure it was the first time for Janst. He loved running as fast as he could then shoving his whole face down in and taking a big bite! (We need children!)

Brown Babies

So, this may be very vain, and I may be jinxing myself, but I have this dream...this dream that I will have brown babies. (For all of you out there hoping that I am pregnant, I am NOT, this is just something that crosses my mind often. ) While watching LOST this last week I was thinking about how I want my children to look like Sayid. In fact, I think if we have a boy he will be named Sayid, in hopes that some how that is going to have something to do with the tone of this skin and the curliness of his hair. See, they really have no choice at all being as that Nezar is not even as dark complected as Sayid and they are getting half of my genes which really is going to wash them out a bit more....but a girl can dream right.
I don't know if you remember, but once upon a time I had a long haired curly headed husband. Not quite like Sayid's lucious locks, but could possibly have gotten there with a little primping and mucho product. However, my dream still stands...I will have very brown babies, with beautiful black curly hairs, and large noses. Hey, it's a fact, Arabs have big noses. It's not a BAD thing, just fact. I just hope that all of this thought, hopes and dreams does not anger our Creator and we end up with pasty bald babies with little noses. I would love him just the same, we just wouldn't have as many picture so of him. Just kidding. I guess all of this is invalid anyway, Sayid from LOST is East Indian anyway and his name is Naveen. I guess that blows that whole thing....but I still will dream of little brown Arab babies named Sayid.

Idaho....not so ugly.
Nezar and I spent a beautiful weekend up in McCall, ID. It is about 2 hours north of Boise and it is gorgeous. Nezar has some family up there we hang out with and they showed us around a bit. We went 4 wheeling and saw some of God's fabulous creation. No one can ever say that Idaho is ugly after seeing this. Anyway, McCall was great, very relaxing and we were there the perfect weekend....all of the Aspens had just turned their most vibrant colors of the season. It looked like someone had accidentally squirted tubes of paint all over the town. It was really amazing to see what God can do. Enough of this gibberish.....here are some pictures to show you a bit.....they absolutely do not do the colors justice.

Rybee, I see your Blogtato and up you an eggplant
There is a fruit/vegetable stand in Fruitland which is about 45 minutes West of Caldwell. Everytime I go out there on business I always stop at this stand to purchase my weeks worth of veggies and fruit....however, today was much different. Today I found the most glorious thing. I knew when I saw it that I had to have it.....looks like Nezar will be having Masuga for dinner because this thing is huge! Rybee, I thought you might appreciate interpreting this for yourself. Enjoy.

Janst

Hello everyone, I'd like you to meet Janst. He is the newest addition to our family. He is two years old and still kind of clumsy like a puppy. You can't tell very well in the picture but he has golden eyes that are just beautiful. He came to us from the Idaho Humane Society yesterday. His previous family dropped him off because he got too big. He is pretty large, he makes Beth Ann seem very small. He has a great personality, loves to play, chase balls, and slobber all over Nezar because he knows he hates it. : ) So far he is fitting into the family wonderfully. He and Beth Ann hit it off and have been romping the wrestlig since he got here last night. Once again, we did not name him, he came with it. But I can deal with this one better than "Beth Ann". Can't wait for you all to meet him! P.S. If you call my cell phone in the next couple days and it doesn't work that is because I am switching to Nezar's phone number so we can use his employee accounts. So, if you don't have his number and need it, let me know. ......didn't think I should really publish it. : ) See you all soon!

And that's how they do it in Idaho.

So, I went down to the Canyon County Courthouse today to get my Explorer registered and to get my new Drivers License. The whole experience was very....country. First you go through "security" and I use the term very loosely. You walk through a metal dectector and the lady doesn't even look at her little screen with your stuff on it and when you beep while walking through she says "Oh, it's probably just your necklace." and you walk through. It was pretty amusing. So, then I went to get my drivers license and I was waiting in line and the Sherriff (yes, the sheriff is who issues your license) says to the lady in front of me "Just leave me a blank check and sign it, so if you pass the test I'll just fill it in for you." Wow! Can you imagine anything like that happening in P-town! Well, I found it amusing.....and, the question on the test "If you hit a livestock animal on the road are you responsible for any damage done?". Just so you know the answer is yes. The cows, horses, elk, etc....they are allowed to run amuck, but if you hit one be prepared to pay for it! They do things a little differently here. Like when I went to the liquor store and the guy behind the counter goes, "Are you 21?" and I kind of laughed and said yes and the guy goes "ok". And that's how they do it Idaho. These things maybe are one of those "gotta be there" but right now they are very funny to me. Just to let you know we are doing great. We finally closed on the house. We own it..all of it...for 30 years! Kind of scary. The weather has been awesome. Hot! Mostly around 100. Today for example 102. Nezar is loving his new store. It's a very young crew and they are a little more relaxed than the Couve so he fits right in. My job is awesome....i'm loving it... and no Jessica, I'm not working too much. We went downtown boise, which they call BO DO (don't ask me why), went to PF Changs and hung out for awhile...it's not too bad! There is actually a lot going on down there. Well, there's not too much else to comment on right now! Update later!
